The International Double Bass Convention BASS2010 will take place from 5-10 October 2010 in Berlin in the Universität der Künste (university of arts), the Musikhochschule Hanns Eisler (music academy Hanns Eisler) and other locations.
From classic to jazz
The one-week festival is characterised by a broad range of styles from old music to jazz and there will be numerous performances by soloist players and reknowed double bass ensembles.
Additionally there will be numberous exhibitors informing about instrument, string and bow-making, the latest literature and double bass accessoiries.
For kids and grown-ups
BASS2010 also cares for kids and youngsters: For the youngest from six years of age the Minibass-Competition, concerts to play along, as well as lessons and group projects invite everyone to join in. Playing music together and fun playing the double bass are central to all these activities.
