Organised by the University of Liverpool and Fudan University and brought to you by the Northwest Universities in England, this symposium will bring together world-leading scientists in materials research, aiming to highlight the state of the art research in materials chemistry, ranging from molecular assembly, functional polymers, through metal-organic frameworks and nanoelectronics to designer catalysts and solar energy utilisation.

It will provide an excellent meeting point for knowledge exchange, networking, formulating new strategies, as well as experiencing the magnificent EXPO. The symposium will be held at the Liverpool Pavilion in the afternoon of 11 August and the morning of the 12th. Eight internationally renowned chemists will join the event, presenting frontier materials research undergoing in their labs, including four from top Chinese institutions.
