The main objective of this new conference is to explore the future of higher education in the context of unprecedented progress in science, engineering and technology, and to develop new paradigms for higher education systems, their delivery administration, and funding in the Conceptual Age.

STHESCA aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and provide networking opportunities for science and technology policy makers, university administrators, higher education leaders, faculty members and industry and government representatives, taking into account European, American and Asia-Pacific perspectives.

STHESCA will concentrate on three key issues:

• Society of 21st Century
• Science and Technology in 21st Century
• Universities for 21st Century
