Guest of Honour: Rt Hon the Lord Baker of Dorking, Chair, Baker Dearing Educational Trust & Chair, Edge

Following Government's full acceptance of the recommendations from the Wolf Review, which called for a focus on high-quality vocational qualifications developed more closely with employers and professional bodies, this seminar will provide an opportunity for key policymakers and stakeholders to discuss the future of vocational education in England. At this early stage we expect sessions to discuss the range of vocational qualifications and options available to pupils at both 14 and 16, the role of schools in delivering vocational education, the expansion of apprenticeships and the possibility of introducing a 'Technical Baccalaureate' - a vocational alternative to the new English Baccalaureate.
