About the programme

The Master of Finance (MF) program imparts intimate knowledge of the functioning of modern financial markets and financial institutions.

Core topics of the program include the analysis of global asset allocation and international fund management, investment banking and venture financing, the analysis of trading systems and the ensuing market microstructure, as well as the design and opera-tion of insurance and pension systems.

The specific emphasis includes both the analysis of the existing international financial infrastructure, and the optimal design of financial institutions. Hence, this program confers indepth knowledge about ongoing political debates, about the optimal financial architecture of the global capital markets, the function and design of supervisory agencies and the general regulatory proc-ess surrounding "Basle II", and last not least about the optimal design of pension systems.

Admission requirments

  • Certificate of first degree (Bachelor, Master, Diploma) from a recognized university from a program of at least 6 semesters with an appropriate major. Applicants who have not completed their first degree at the time of application can apply with the latest transcript.
  • Sound knowledge of micro- and macroeconomics at an intermediate level as well as calculus and differential equations.
  • Sound knowledge of English, documented by the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score.
