Educational requirements: BSc degree in forestry, nature conservation or other related environmental and social sciences.
Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 580); IELTS (minimum score: 6.5)
Other requirements: Grade Point Average of at least 70%; good skills in mathematics and/or statistics; basic computer skills.
Objectives: The focus is on conservation, sustainable management and policy aspects of forests and nature. Constructive approaches are developed such as sustainable natural resource management, accounting for bio-diversity conservation, silviculture, social forestry and agro forestry as well as management strategies for nature reserves and development of large scale ecological networks.
Subjects: Majors can be done within profiles such as: forest and nature policy; nature and resource management; and conservation and restoration ecology. Topic courses may include: policy for forest and nature conservation; management for forest and nature conservation; community forest; silviculture; resource ecology; ecological methods; animal ecology.
Modes of instruction: Lectures, practical work, case work, group work, computer models, excursions, self study, thesis research.
