Course description
The MA in Gender, Sexuality and Culture is a highly interdisciplinary programme that will: Introduce new approaches to gender studies and sexuality studies as a theoretical, social, cultural, political and historical field of investigation; challenge current understandings of gender and sexuality by interrogating cultural identities, such as queer, homosexual, gay, straight, bisexual, transgendered; examine cultural production and cultural theory in relating to other power systems, such as race, ethnicity and class; and offer training in research methods.
The MA in Gender, Sexuality and Culture is a highly interdisciplinary programme that will:

- offer training in research methods Students from all academic backgrounds are invited to apply.
Career opportunities
Students in our programme have gone on to take up a diverse range of careers in both the public and private sectors. Some have gone on to pursue postgraduate research, and several have taken up jobs as teachers.
Entry requirements
Academic entry qualification overview: For the MA, a First or Upper Second class honours degree or overseas equivalent, in any area of the humanities or social sciences.
English language: Students whose first language is not English are required to hold IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 623 paper based (with a minimum score on Test of Written English of 5,0) or 263 computer based.
