Research in the Department of Medical Genetics is carried out in the CIMR (the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research) and the Department of Pathology. The academic and clinical departments are closely linked.

Key research areas

The Diabetes and Inflammation Laboratory is headed by Prof John Todd. It addresses all aspects of the genetic basis and cell biology of diabetes mellitus. It includes groups headed by Linda Wicker and David Clayton.
