Educational requirements: BSc in earth sciences with emphasis on biogeology, or BSc in biology with emphasis on biogeology.
Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 580 (paper test) or 237 (computer test).); IELTS (minimum score: 6.5. (6.0 for the writing module).), Cambridge EFL Advanced English: B; Cambridge EFL Proficiency in English: C.
Objectives: Participants gain knowledge of the long-term interaction between the biosphere and the hydrosphere, lithosphere and atmosphere and skills needed to conduct scientific research and analytical surveys.
Subjects: Paleo-oceanography and climate variability; (botanical) paleo-ecology; astronomical climate forcing; sedimentary processes and products; paleo- and evolutionary biology; landscape ecology.
Modes of instruction: Lectures, seminars, laboratory work, practical research, thesis.
