This programme is concerned with the mapping of the earth’s surface and the management of the information gathered. Combining physics, mathematics, environmental science and IT, the programme will teach you how to map, measure and analyse spatial measurements for a variety of uses. With a practical emphasis, the degree is geared to meet the needs of employers and offers you the opportunity to study a range of specialisms.
The part-time mode is available both as a day release and a block release. The programme is taught in combination with the other degrees in the Surveying field, making it possible to change between pathways in the first year.
Graduates from surveying programmes are sought after as there is a skills shortage in this area. Civil engineering and surveying companies visit UEL regularly seeking to recruit high-quality students for work within the industry. Their strong industrial links encourage the employment and career paths of their engineers and surveyors.
