This programme provides a basis from which to explore key elements of twenty-first-century urban and regional change. By engaging with wider social scientific debates, you will compile strategies and case studies to gain broad, practical exposure to the contemporary arena of urban and regional development, plus the necessary skills and experience to work in these areas.
Semester 1: Qualitative research methods; The creative economy; Thinking through cities and regions; Urban futures.
Semester 2: Consumption and the city; Global city regions; Researching urban economy and culture; Thinking through cities and regions.
Entry Requirements
Upper second-class honours degree or equivalent in geography or a related subject; or a master’s degree in an appropriate subject
