Educational requirements: First class or Upper Second (2.1) honours, BSc degree or equivalent from a recognized university in a discipline related to the course.

Professional experience required: Preferably combined with working experience in a relevant field (not compulsory).

Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 580, CBT of 237.); IELTS (minimum score: 6.5)

Other requirements: Proof of proficiency in English is strictly required.

Objectives: The focus of the course is on the processing & use of information to solve real-world environmental problems relevant to society. The environmental domains that are studied include terrestrial, atmosphere and fresh water systems. The emphasis is on integrating management and policy with technical skills.

Subjects: The Master's course contains 15 different modules, all linked through the common theme of geo-information and environment. In most cases, a module corresponds to three to five weeks of study (5 tot 8 ECTS). To increase flexibility and allow for variations in the previous knowledge and areas of interest of the students, a number of elective modules are included in the course.

Modes of instruction: Lectures, exercises, assignments, field visits and case studies.
