Educational requirements: BSc degree from a recognized university, in a discipline relevant to the programme and/or specialization choosen.
Professional experience required: Several years of work experience in a relevant field is recommended.
Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 550); IELTS (minimum score: 6.0), Michigan = 75.
Other requirements: Reasonable working knowledge of mathematics and good computer skills.
Objectives: On completion of the course, participants will have developed a critical understanding of methods for territorial planning and environmental management, and strengthened their academic research skills.
Subjects: Remote sensing; geographic information systems; geomorphology; soils; vegetation and land use degradation; research training; specialization in one field of integrated landscape management; research.
Modes of instruction: Lectures and practical exercises, self-study, multi-disciplinary project work and hands-on case studies, fieldwork, discussion groups and assignments.
