About the programme

The Master of Science (MSc) Soil Science aims at learning how to describe, quantify and predict soil processes. You can do this in the fields of two specializations: Soil Quality en Land Science. Soil Quality focuses on the chemical and biological processes in the soil, whereas Land Science is focused on landscape dynamics and the effect of land use on soil quality.

The Msc programme provides its students with knowledge and insights that are essential for the development of optimal, multifunctional and sustainable land use and soil quality management. It prepares students for a career as an academic professional or as a scientist. Academic professionals work as experts and consultants in soil remediation, soil evaluation, risk assessment or nutrient management.
