About the programme

The Health Studies programme is designed for students with an interest in working in the health and social care sector, and who are interested in learning more about health and wellbeing issues. The course is intended to help students develop the core skills and acquire the knowledge necessary for a career in this sector.

Career opportunities

Many employment opportunities exist in the health and social care sector, voluntary and community organisations, and in the private sector. Health and social care organisations in east London offer many opportunities for gaining work experience.

Admission requirments

200 UCAS points.
Students may be admitted through Accreditation of Experiential Learning (AEL) or Accreditation of Certificated Learning (ACL) processes.
In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, then IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) is required with no less than 5.5 for writing and speaking and 5 or above in reading and listening.
