Founded in 1995, the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre is a unique centre worldwide.

Key research areas

MR Physics in ASL, DTI, fMRI, OEF and in vivo spectroscopy; reconstruction of EPI including image correction and unwarping; nonlinear image warping for spatially variant image registration and normalisation.

PET research includes:

                • scanner modelling
                • novel iterative reconstruction algorithms
                • novel carbon-11, fluorine-18 and copper-64 radiosynthethic methods
                • development of novel PET radio tracers
                • combined PET/MR
