Founded in 1995, the Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre is a unique centre worldwide.
Key research areas
MR Physics in ASL, DTI, fMRI, OEF and in vivo spectroscopy; reconstruction of EPI including image correction and unwarping; nonlinear image warping for spatially variant image registration and normalisation.
PET research includes:
- scanner modelling
- novel iterative reconstruction algorithms
- novel carbon-11, fluorine-18 and copper-64 radiosynthethic methods
- development of novel PET radio tracers
- combined PET/MR
