Objectives: To provide participants with a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of European History and Civilisation. Participants also gain from the extensive networking facilities offered by study at three of the leading higher-education institutions in Europe, two on the European continent, the third in the English-speaking world.
Subjects: This one-year programme is divided into trimesters, with the 1st trimester of teaching taking place in Leiden, the 2nd in Paris and the 3rd in Oxford, including four weeks for tutorial guidance in the preparation of a dissertation. In each part of the programme, candidates select modules from a range of topics, and are thus able to tailor the course to their specific interests and requirements.
Modes of instruction: Lectures, seminars, research projects, master's thesis.
