Educational requirements: Bachelor's in social sciences.
Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 100 (iBT)); IELTS (minimum score: overall band: 6.5)
Other requirements: Skilled in use of computer applications (Windows, Office, World Wide Web).
Objectives: Graduates from this programme are especially qualified for working in testing agencies, certification boards, policy evaluation offices, and are acknowledged in the research labour market as evaluation researchers and social science researchers, including PhD students.
Subjects: Designing educational assessments; complex performance assessments; advanced educational measurement; quality care and evaluation; cost effectiveness; school performance feedback systems. After an introductory module the programme is split up into two streams: assessment and evaluation, with three courses in each. The final part of the programme is reserved for the final project/thesis.
Modes of instruction: The programme will be offered in such a way that it can be studied in a full-time as well as in part-time mode. It will contain a mix of lecture/classs bound elements and guided self-study.
