Objectives:
- Photographic Studies aims to provide students with a broad academic and cultural training in the theory and history of photography.
Subjects:
- Art-historical theories and theories of photography; the interrelations between photography and other forms of visual art; ways of presenting photography (exhibitions, internet, publications, newspaper reviews, etc.) and the collection, preservation and archiving of photography. The programme also addresses recent developments such as digital photography and the new media.
Modes of instruction:
- Lectures, seminars, research projects, Master's thesis.
