Systems of Information and Multimedia Technology: University of Erlangen-Nuremberg

Information and multimedia technology have experienced a rapid growth within the last few years and have attained a high economic importance worldwide. This progress is mainly driven by theoretical achievements based on highly complex mathematical concepts and algorithms and by the application of modern abstract methods. Examples are schemes for digital speech, audio and video coding, digital transmission, embedded systems, and communication networks. The Master's programme focuses on the theoretical basis and practical schemes of information and communication technology and is an elite co-operation project between the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and the Technical University Munich (TUM).
