Course Description

The Master's programme in Conflict Resolution and Governance leads to an MSc in Political Science. It provides students with a foundation which will allow them to develop a theoretically informed understanding of shifts in the character and significance of conflicts, consider possibilities for action in real-life situations, and transform conflict into a resource for democratic governance. Students are given the opportunity to develop a command of the diverse resources needed to respond to the analytic challenges presented by local, regional, and global conflicts and to situate contemporary events in a historical and comparative perspective.

Admission requirments

Educational requirements: Academic Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, including Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, or Anthropology.

Language requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 570 (paper)/230 (computer)/88 (internet)); IELTS (minimum score: 6.5), Cambridge: minimum score of CAE B or CPE C.

Other requirements: Grade Average of at least B/3.0 (American system), Second class, lower division Honours degree (British system), C (ECTS-system), 7.0 (Dutch system).
