About the programme

The MA in International Relations and International Organization (IRIO) is a degree programme that researches and studies international relations in an integrated manner. In addition, this Master’s degree programme offers students the opportunity to specialize in one of the four core areas within international relations, corresponding to the specific expertise of the various staff members within the IRIO department:

  • International Security
  • European Integration  
  • Global Governance 
  • International Political Economy

Career prospects

The interdisciplinary IRIO degree programme is broad in scope, while providing in-depth knowledge and giving students a solid foundation in political science and theory, historical insight, expertise in economic affairs and international legal issues, and critical academic faculties. There is consequently a wide range of employment opportunities for IRIO graduates.
