International Relations: Global Governance and Social Theory

The core of the programme of studies is composed of four main fields:

1. Theories and Issues of Global Governance
   This field focuses on basic theories and themes of international relations and governance.
2. Changing Context of Global Governance
   The theoretical focus of the programme is supplemented by in-depth knowledge on specific policy fields and cross-sectional issues in international governance.
3. Theorising Social Order and Change
   Covering classical as well as contemporary social theory, as well as social theory of globalisation, this component aims to provide a broader, social-theoretical framework for dealing with issues of governance.
4. Methodology
   In order to provide students with the techniques to conduct up-do-date research, the programme offers courses on advanced qualitative and quantitative research methods as well as on research design and the logic of scientific research.

• Total duration (months) of the Master's course is 24 months.
• This is a full-time programme (four consecutive semester)
