It is a one year postgraduate course of the Law Faculty of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. It aims to familiarise the students with the German legal tradition and to give them a basic working knowledge of German law through the study of its principles and their application.
The programme lasts two semester. During these two semester a minimum of 20 credit hours must be achieved. The student is free to put together his or her own course programme, choosing from the traditional subjects of a German Law degree as well as from the rich offering of the faculty with respect to international and foreign law. The course subjects chosen should be discussed with the supervisor, a Professor of the faculty. The Magister examination forms the final exam of the Magister course.
The Magister examination consists of a Magister thesis and an oral examination.
