This course is a Qualifying Law Degree, providing you with the core subjects required by the professional legal bodies, which will grant exemptions for those who wish to become solicitors or barristers. The course will help you to find suitable commercial work experience either with a law firm or with a corporate legal department, providing you with first-hand experience of private practice or the services provided by an in-house legal team.
All modules are double modules. The option modules are geared towards commercial law and commercial legal practice.

The course combines legal study with legal skills, and is taught using a variety of teaching methods. You will be expected to develop your skills in relation to written and oral communication, team and individual working, independent learning, research and argument construction and analysis, using these skills within a commercial law environment. You will attend lectures for the core subjects with LLB Honours Law students.
A Law degree is seen as a valuable asset by a variety of employers, legal and non-legal. Legal careers include barristers and advocates, solicitors, clerks and officers of court, legal executives and paralegals. Law graduates also pursue careers in accountancy, the Civil Service, education and local government.
