About the programme

This programme offers a unique, interdisciplinary approach to legal issues in the Middle East and Islam. The programme is built on the work and expertise of UEL’s Law School in the areas of the Palestinian–Israeli conflict, the Iraq crisis, Islamic feminism, Islamic legal discourses and post-colonial analysis of Islamic legal history.

Programme structure

This comprises of 1 core module, 3 other modules and a dissertation of 15,000 words.

Admission requirements

Qualification for entry is by a good honors degree in law, international relations, Middle East Studies, Islamic Studies, theology, Political Sciences, Sociology or Cultural Studies or degrees in any social science or humanities. Applicants with degrees in the natural sciences and mathematics will be considered.
