This programme aims to provide you with knowledge and understanding of substantive intellectual property law in its European and international context and to equip you with the theoretical framework necessary to analyse critically the intellectual property law regime. This is a qualifying programme that will provide students with the skills and knowledge required for practice. Its focus is on UK law and policy within a European, International and comparative context. It provides a thorough grounding in substantive intellectual property law and the economic, social and theoretical basis of the subject.
Students on this programme undergo an entirely prescribed course of study, comprised of the following course units:
Academic entry qualification overview: A minimum Upper Second Class honours degree in a science-based subject.
English language:
Students whose first language is not English are required to hold IELTS 7.0 with a minimum writing score of 7, or TOEFL 106 internet-based, or Cambridge Certificate Grade C.
It is also recommended that applicants attend pre-sessional English language courses at the University.
