This unique international graduate programme enables you to study the general structure and principles of public international law and specialise in those areas that interest you most. The programme covers areas as varied as international peace and security, human rights and international humanitarian law, international environmental law and law of the sea. You will also participate in a moot court.
The LLM programme on Public International Law covers international legal issues in a broad, coherent one-year programme, with a focus on international peace and security, human rights and humanitarian law, international environmental law and law of the sea. While developing a strong foundation of knowledge you will also develop insights into the practical application of public international law.
The LLM in Public International Law is your gateway to an exciting international career. The unique nature of your training makes you eligible for a wide range of different jobs, from working as a diplomat or corporate lawyer to advising international organisations or pursuing research interests. English proficiency requirements
All other applicants, including applicants who hold a Dutch HBO diploma (diploma of higher professional education), must provide proof of proficiency in English. To do so, you are required to take one of the following English language tests:
