About the programme

This MA is associated with the Centre for the Study of Sexual Dissidence.

Historically, this was one of the first MA degrees of its kind in Britain, and indeed, the world. They have over the years expanded to include the most intellectually compelling issues facing the study of sexuality today, enabling you to study sexual dissidence, you can study sexual dissidence from historical, cultural, theoretical, comparative, or postcolonial frameworks.

Building on the pioneering work begun by Alan Sinfield and Jonathan Dillimore, the MA continues to provide innovative scholarship, and Sussex has established itself firmly as a major influence on the study of sexual dissidence in the UK, continental Europe, and further abroad.
