Construction management involves procuring and directing human and physical resources for the successful and prudent realisation of a construction project. Good construction management ensures that the project meets the desires of the client, the requirements of the budget, and the quality set out in the specification.
Opportunities are available for careers in construction management, and in a variety of specialist construction areas. Many graduates also move into areas such as business and management.
Entry requirements on to the level 3 BSc (Hons) Construction Management will normally be achievement of the FdSc. Foundation Degree in Construction Management.
Applicants who possess a Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Construction can also be bridged on to the final full time year or its part time equivalent by undertaking a one semester set of bridging modules, depending on the credit value of their HNC/D and how it maps onto the existing FdSc. in Construction Management.
Entry is possible in both semester A & B. If English is not the candidates first language, they will need to demonstrate satisfactory English language skills by achieving an overall IELTS score of 5.5 with no skill level below 5.0.
