The BA Honours Business Management by part-time day/evening study is designed for people wishing to gain a degree in business while holding down a full-time job. It is particularly attractive to mature students whose earlier careers did not permit them to gain a degree and who now wish to improve their knowledge and qualifications.
The course by part-time day/evening study (BABM P/T for short) is based on the programme of the full-time BA Honours Business Management. As a part-time student, you can choose to study one, two or three modules in each of the two semesters per year. By this means, you can complete the course at your own pace. The fastest pace at which it can be completed is four years; five is more usual.
Each module should involve about six hours per week of private study and revision, in addition to attendance of the taught elements. This, of course, will vary between individuals. The course is structured so that most modules at Credit Levels 4 and 5 are compulsory (two options at each); while Credit Level 6 consists largely of option modules. This structure allows you to specialise in your advanced study, to a greater or lesser extent, at your choice.
