The role of the consultant requires anticipating possible problems and proposing innovative solutions. In this respect managing change processes is part of the consultant’s focus. Fundamentally a consultant should be someone who is helping organisations to become more successful. In order to obtain optimal results it is necessary to understand the parameters of the consultant/client relationship and to provide a structure that avoids common pitfalls and produces concrete results.
The curriculum of the Master programme consists of core modules, specialisation modules and elective modules. This design was adopted to create the combination of knowledge, skills and competencies that all professionals in the business field must have.
The first three blocks of the study programme start with a combination of core modules and specialisation modules. The core modules, which focus on management and research, provide the solid foundation of the Master Degree. The core modules are: Organisational Behaviour, Organisational Architecture, Business Ethics and Politics, Management of Technology, Critical thinking and Argument Analysis, and Research Methodology. The specialisation modules focus on key topics in the specialisation.

To enter the Master Programme the following is required:
* Students with a Dutch Bachelor Degree NVAO accredited are exempt form the GMAT requirement.
** Native English speakers, students with a Dutch Bachelor Degree NVAO accredited or students with an English Bachelor Degree are exempt from the English Test requirement.
***In order to atract a high level of students Rotterdam Business School requires that students can only have one 6.0 on the sub-scores, all other scores need to be 6.5 or higher.
