Energy Conversion and Management: University of Applied Sciences Offenburg

About the programme

There are two variants of the program Energy Conversion and Management.

• A program ECM-S, which lasts three semesters and has a total of 90 Credit Points (C). The program ECM-S starts in the summer semester, which fits to graduates from bachelor programs with a duration of seven semesters (210 C). The ECM-S program shall start for the first time in the summer 2011, following the launch of the Bachelor Degree Program Energiesystemtechnik / Energy System Technology at University of Applied Sciences Offenburg.
• A program ECM-W, which lasts four semesters and has a total of 120 C. The program ECM-W starts in the winter semester. The ECM-W program is highly recommended to students from abroad because of the expanded possibilities to gain practical experience.

Admission requirments

Academically, applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Academic Excellence: Your Bachelor’s final grade should be at least 70% of the best note
• Proof of English proficiency: Either TOEFL [ 550 and higher (PBT), 213 and higher (CBT), 79 and higher (IBT) ] or IELTS 6.0 and higher (does not apply for native speakers)
• Proof of German proficiency: Goethe Institut Grundstufe II or 400 hours (does not apply for native speakers) - Equivalent to european level A2.
• A technical background is strongly recommended (BSc in Engineering)
