Educational requirements: Bachelor in social science, economics, geography, political science, planning, natural resources management or equivalent.
Professional experience required: Several years of experience in public or private sector or academia is highly recommended.

Objectives: Providing students with an adequate understanding of systems of governance and the embedded role of spatial information, and the competencies necessary to act effectively in order to improve the quality of the administration, policy analysis and policy design.
Subjects: Public policy design; implementation and evaluation; law economics; environmental and spatial planning; geo data capture; remote storage and processing with GIS and visualization. decision support; statistics and information systems.
Modes of instruction: Lectures, hands on practicals, literature study, assignments, case studies and fieldwork, research methods.
