Course Description

The dynamic changes in higher education are all placing pressure on universities to operate on a much more professional level. This programme provides excellent preparation for experienced managers wanting to take on more senior positions.

The students include academic leaders and managers, and those working in professional services. The teaching staff have all worked at senior management levels in higher education.

Programme structure

Three core modules are delivered as three-day residential blocks, each with directed reading, followed by a short assignment. There is also a final two-day residential block and a project with dissertation.

  • Strategic issues and evaluation in higher education

Entry requirements

  • First or upper second-class honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent overseas/professional qualification
  • Degree requirement may be waived if you are a post-experience candidate and can demonstrate sufficient, relevant work experience (normally at least 5 years’ management experience in higher education at middle or senior level)
