The education of the MBA programme IMRE focuses on the management of natural resources and the environment.
The structure of the programme that includes clusters in Economics, Law, Business Administration, Environmental and Resource Management, Cultural Studies, Electives, and German courses emphasises the interdisciplinary approach.
The educational target of the MBA programme IMRE is to provide students coming from a more technical background (Engineers, Natural Scientists) with knowledge, expertise and skills in managerial sciences. The core focus of the education is the management of natural resources and the environment.
Students are supposed
- to acquire abilities to recognise and assess coherence between technical, economical and social issues,
- to evaluate technical solutions from an interdisciplinary perspective regarding their economical, ecological and social impacts and to utilise this interdisciplinary approach for new production processes and innovative products,
- to secure job opportunities in other areas than the core focus due to the general knowledge of principles and methods, and
- to develop skill in order to detect future problems and integrate those into their own work.
