International Public Management and Policy: Erasmus University Rotterdam

Course Description

The MSc. in International Public Management and Policy [IMP] is a one-year graduate program that seeks to make students aware of the increasingly multinational and international nature of public management and public policy making; to provide them with the scientific theories, concepts, and tools needed for analyzing this international multi-level 'space', and to equip them with knowledge and experiences relevant to public careers with international dimensions.

The following seven modules are mandatory:

• Comparative Public Policy;
• International Public Management;
• Global Governance;
• International Organisations & Issues;
• EU Policy Making;
• EU Governance;
• Development.

Admission requirments

• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
• Fluency in spoken and written English:
  • TOEFL score of at least 580 (paper based), 232 (computer based), 95 (internet based);
  • IELTS score of 6.5.
  • Students from China and Taiwan can only be accepted with an IELTS score of 6.5 or above with a minimum pass of 5.5 per division (i.e. not with TOEFL);
