International Strategic Management - Project Development, Risk and Contract Management processes require long-term and extensive decisions. The Master's programme International Strategic Management of the OTA University of Applied Sciences offers a comprehensive programme that prepares you for an international career. Studies include innovation management to incorporate technological foresight, commercialisation and the protection of intellectual property in the decision making process. For estimating and evaluating the occurring risks, risk management in value-creation and finance as well as continental European law and company law are a part of the study topics.
Today operating internationally is required in almost every economic sector and area. Knowledge of global strategic management - such as intercultural management and European & international foreign trade laws - is necessary to bring international business relations to a successful end. The know-how that is essential for concluding contracts is presented in the subject area of contract management - contract knowledge management and contract design law, negotiation and conflict management, international private law and comparison of legal orders. All these contents are embedded in a sequence of real-life projects and are presented during project development and project work and lead finally to a Master's thesis.
You will obtain the necessary background knowledge on contracts that non-lawyers require to close international deals and sustain good business relations. Participants learn about the entire process from proposal preparation to bargaining techniques to signing and implementing contracts. They practice the successful closing of negotiations and acquire necessary intercultural and language skills to operate internationally.
