The course seeks to provide aspiring and new frontline, junior and middle managers with academic accreditation and learning experience which will develop them systematically for their management role.
It is designed to promote the development of the general management skills and abilities required by managers operating in the current economic environment, including analysis, problem solving and proactive thinking. It will provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding required to operate effectively in a managerial role.
For all students (PG Certificate/PG Diploma/MA):
For students opting to gain the MA:
The Research Methods module will develop your knowledge and competence in the research process and the application of research methods in the area of business and management. This module is completed in advance of the Project module.
The project module involves extensive research in a chosen topic. It will enable you to demonstrate your ability to work autonomously and to apply the theory learned during the programme to a substantial real life problem.
If you successfully complete four modules, you will gain the Postgraduate Certificate in Management, while if you complete six modules you will gain the Postgraduate Diploma in Management. To obtain the MA Management, you will have successfully completed the PG Diploma and will have completed three additional modules.
