It covers internal and external factors, such as: managerial, economic, sociological and environmental aspects of households and businesses in the Netherlands, Europe and the rest of the world in both developed and developing countries.
Consumer Affairs has become a globalised field in research and higher education. It analyses consumers in their economic, social and ecological environment. The demand from corporate and governmental sectors as well as consumer organisations for higher education graduates in the field of Consumer Affairs is very high.
Development and Rural Innovation graduates are welcomed by a wide variety of organizations and work within a broad range of disciplines. Graduates work, for example, as facilitators at consultancies, specialists at research institutes, conflict mediators at governments, as project leaders in non-governmental organizations and sometimes setup their own companies.
