Public management with a focus on safety and security. Safety and Security Management Studies offer an opportunity to develop competencies aimed at adding value to the public governance of safety and security for those who want to make a difference in the public service.
Safety and Security Management Studies is aimed to train you to be a professional, harness your academic insights and channel them into the public governance of safety and security, without losing sight of the importance of the citizens you will be serving.
Safety and Security Management Studies sets standards for professionalism. These are defined in the competencies that students develop throughout the modules. Each module has a clear set of learning goals. At the end of the module students are tested along these goals.
If you have a non-Dutch diploma
They’ll need to assess your secondary school certificate, before they decide on your eligibility. To make sure your certificate is judged fairly, they work together with NUFFIC, an organisation specialised in comparing international qualifications.
One of the eligibility criteria is that you have at least one of the following subjects: mathematics, economics, or business studies.
English language skills
In case you do not hold an English secondary school diploma (diploma granted in a non EEA country) or you have not taken English as an exam subject (diploma granted in the EEA) prior to your enrolment for an English Bachelor programme, you must show an IELTS or TOEFL test. Contrary to what Studielink tells you, you have to register for this test yourself.
