Marketing is one of the most important and dynamic of all business disciplines. Its focus on the understanding of customers' needs and the delivery of customer satisfaction effectively makes marketing central to any successful business. This degree programme is designed to combine a marketing emphasis with a comprehensive business education. It is ideal if you hope to gain a graduate position in marketing in areas such as: brand and product management; marketing research; marketing consultancy; customer service management; advertising; public relations; sales promotion and direct marketing; account management; advertising and media planning; sales and key account management.
Year 1
Your first year of study will provide a general business foundation. You will study a range of core subjects such as: Introduction to Marketing, Business Statistics and Decision Making for Marketing, Understanding Financial Information, Global Business Context, Management and Organisational Behaviour and Business Information Technology Management.
Year 2
During your second year you will continue to study core subjects such as: Marketing in Practice, Principles and Practices of Marketing Communications, Marketing Research, Financial Information for Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Operations and Business Systems Management.
Final Year
In your final year you will also study: Strategic Management. You will also select two optional modules in areas of specific interest to you such as: Business and Services Marketing, Direct and Database Marketing, Public Relations in the Digital Ages, Personal Marketing Communications, and International Marketing Management.

English Language requirements: All students will have a recognised English Language qualification of at least GCSE grade C or an equivalent such as the British Council's International English Language Test (IELTS) grade 6.0.
