The course includes opportunities for an overseas work placement in a role related to the global marketing environment, and takes advantage of a wide network of international partnerships to enhance your international experience. This degree will give you the knowledge, skills and practical experience you need to take on a wide range of marketing roles in organisations concerned with maximising their activities across all of their international markets.

Course Structure

This degree is an innovative qualification that will give you the essential knowledge and skills to break into international marketing and business. Against the cultural, political and economic backdrop that influences global activity, you will: explore the development of international competitiveness; investigate the processes of choosing markets, creating strategies and developing value delivery chains; and learn how to design marketing plans that work across the globe. It is likely that you will spend some period of time abroad during your studies.

Teaching and Assessment

Varied teaching and learning methods are used, with an emphasis on self-directed learning and personal development. Assessment is normally in two parts, consisting of an in-module element and a final element, the latter being either by exam or assignment. Most modules incorporate some element of group work and problem solving which replicate the kind of tasks you are likely to face in real-life situations. This will help to demonstrate to future employers that you can make a valued contribution immediately upon joining the organisation.

You can look forward to excellent career prospects within a wide range of marketing roles. Having been immersed in international and global concerns through your studies and through direct experience, you will be particularly well placed to pursue opportunities with organisations that operate across international markets.
