Course Description
Marketing Research is the collection and analysis of data and dissemination of the results to improve marketing decision making. This Master's programme trains you to provide implementation needed by marketing management in the complex environments in which they make their decision.
The programme consists of 60 Credits (ECTS), equivalent to 1680 hours of study, offered over two semesters. The first semester starts in September, with exams in December and January. The second semester runs from February to June, but is divided in two. From February to April, you will take the two courses. From April on, you will be able to focus on your Master’s Thesis.
Career Perspectives
Having finished the Master in Marketing Research programme, job opportunities are excellent, countless, and broad. There is an urgent need for graduates who have expert knowledge and skills in both marketing ánd research methodology. In practice, marketing researchers work for either research and consultancy firms for customers of these firms. Hence, they work in different markets and often with a wide variety of products (retailing, fast-moving-consumer-goods, services, etc.).
Furthermore, their job is typically related to a range of important marketing issues, such as segmentation, pricing, and advertising. In addition, the MSc in Marketing Research programme provides an excellent basis to become a PhD student in marketing.
Admission requirments
FEB Bachelor's
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Studies or International Business with the course Marketing Research (or International Marketing Research, depending on the programme) will have direct access to the Master in Marketing Research. A Bachelor's degree in Econometrics & OR gives access to the Master in Marketing Research, with bachelor courses Marketing 1, Marketing Research and Consumer Behaviour. Also a premaster in Marketing Research will give access to the Master's programme in Marketing Research.
University Bachelor's in Business
In order to have access to the Master's programme in Marketing Research, you need a solid basis in the following areas:

- Marketing, more specifically the courses Marketing, Marketing Research and Consumer Behaviour
Hbo bachelors
Students with a Dutch Professional Bachelor's in Business Administration (HEAO-BE or CE) need to do a premaster prior to entering the Master's programme.
