About the programme
In 2010, the Business School introduces a new MSc in Marketing and Business Analysis which provides students with the theoretical foundations of marketing and introduces students to a range of business modelling approaches relevant to marketing decisions.
The MSc in Marketing and Business Analysis offers an in-depth study of the marketing and management science disciplines through a range of academically grounded courses, giving students an expertise in both areas. The programme provides students with an understanding of marketing theory and instils an appreciation of the skills required in solving practical and analytical business problems through undertaking courses in marketing management, marketing decision analysis, business statistics and forecasting, and marketing research methods. In addition, the programme structure allows students to study more advanced applications through options courses related to their interests and intended career paths.

Admission requirements
The entry requirement is normally an Honours degree from a good university, with an ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ classification in a business or management-related subject.
Candidates with a very good Honours degree in a numerate or quantitative subject area or relevant business experience will be considered on an individual basis.
English language
If English is not your first language, you will need to satisfy one of the following requirements:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- Paper based TOEFL - Overall score of 600 or above (with scores of at least 55 in each section and a score of 4.0 in essay writing)
- Internet based TOEFL - Overall score of 100 or above (with a score of at least 20 in each section)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall score of 7.0 or above (with a score of at least 6.0 in each section)
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Grade A
