About the programme
The University of Edinburgh Business School is pleased to offer a new MSc Marketing programme designed for those looking to develop a career in marketing.
The MSc in Marketing offers an in-depth study of marketing discipline through a comprehensive range of academically grounded courses. Students are provided with a thorough understanding of the theoretical foundations of marketing alongside current and emerging applications in marketing management, the analysis of marketing decisions, consumer behaviour and marketing research methods. In addition, the programme structure allows students to study aspects of marketing related to their interests thus supporting their intended career paths.

Admission requirements
The entry requirement is normally an Honours degree from a good university, with an ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ classification in a business or management related subject.
Candidates with a very good Honours degree in other disciplinary areas will be considered for entry into the programme provided that they have studied a degree with some marketing content.
English language
If English is not your first language, you will need to satisfy one of the following requirements:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- Paper based TOEFL - Overall score of 600 or above (with scores of at least 55 in each section and a score of 4.0 in essay writing)
- Internet based TOEFL - Overall score of 100 or above (with a score of at least 20 in each section)
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall score of 7.0 or above (with a score of at least 6.0 in each section)
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Grade A
