Programme outline

The Master's programme in Logic at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is a strongly interdisciplinary and international two-year Master's programme that focuses on the central role of logic as mediator and tool for both sciences and the humanities. The programme enjoys a strong international reputation as an excellent research training programme. Graduates of the programme frequently move on to become key players in the international logical research community.

Career prospects

The MSc programme in Logic is a research-oriented programme. Most graduates of this programme continue their scientific education with PhD study. Many also carry out research in academic or industrial contexts, are teachers at schools or universities, work in the fields of publishing or journalism, or working in the software industry and management consulting.

Entry requirements

The applicant should normally have at least a Bachelor's or an equivalent degree in one of the following fields:
