The MRC Biostatistics Unit is the leading biostatistics research unit in the UK and has a prominent international role. The aim of the Unit is to advance understanding of the cause, natural history and treatment of disease, and to evaluate public health strategies, through the development of statistical methods and their application to the design, analysis and interpretation of biomedical studies.
