Course Description

Students in the Master's programme in Stochastics and Financial Mathematics are trained to become experts in terms of both theory and areas of application. Students are trained in the full depth and breadth of the field, expanding their ability and insight and improving their position in the job market.

There is a wide range of specialisations available to students in this Master's programme. These specialisations are based on the many areas in which Stochastics is applied, their scope and the challenging theoretical problems they pose. Both theoretically inclined and more practically oriented students can select specific programmes adapted to their personal interests.

Career prospects

Dependent upon the profile chosen, graduates of this programme are well equipped to pursue a successful career in academia, industry or public service.

Specific entry requirements

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. This Master's programme has been adapted to accommodate international students with a relevant Bachelor's degree with an acceptable science major from a non-Dutch university.

General entry requirements

International applicants must also fulfil other general entry requirements set by the Faculty of Science regarding academic background, academic average and proficiency in English.
