The Engineering Doctorate is a flagship programme which provides the opportunity for outstanding engineers to work in industry while obtaining a doctorate level qualification. This programme route ensures engineers, who aspire to senior management roles in industry, are able to gain practical experience of working in industry whilst expanding their knowledge through further study. A typical Engineering Doctorate lasts four years and is built around a research proposal which is developed by the University and Industrial partners.
The Research Engineers are expected to spend around three-quarters of their time working directly with their collaborating company. Packages of training courses are tailored to your needs in order to develop management skills, as well as specialist technical subjects.
